Break the Silence
Workplace bullies often target introverts. They are typically excellent listeners and deep thinkers who focus on their assignments.
Honesty

Truth
Workplace bullying targets are typically honest, ethical, and pro-social. They see their jobs as a way to demonstrate their core values, and as more than just a means to earning a paycheck. This earnestness triggers a bully.

Bullies and Cowards Can't Love
Bullies often target someone who is strong, who acts and thinks independently, and refuses to kowtow. Targets are often veteran workers who are highly skilled, and well-liked and pose a threat to the incompetent bully.
The Most Valuable Asset

Joe, nice platitudes, But Come on Man!
Joe, we appreciate your rhetoric, but come on man, most every abusive executive makes similar platitudes.
Of course no one is going to bully in your presence. Bullies are masters of deception. I know, I coached with Jerry Sandusky.
Strong leaders implement effective anti-bullying policies to create healthy workplaces.
1. They clearly define and publicize inappropriate and appropriate workplace behaviors, so everyone is clear and on the same page.
2. They provide safe and credible processes for, and efficient responses to, employee maltreatment reports.
Employees trust their concerns will be addressed and are eager to identify, and to stomp out, abusive behaviors. Employees also trust they won't be falsely targeted and accused.
3. They address, correct, and prevent demeaning and abusive behaviors. Toxic people and organizations can project altruistic appearances and statements, yet allow and encourage, ala predator Catholic priests, abuse to fester.
4. They help their organizations transcend horrific behaviors with healthy modeling and thriving values, beliefs, and behaviors impacting focus, structure, people orientation, and leadership.
Appreciate your words. Let's see some healthy actions.

Elicit and Embrace Greatness
Bullying targets at work are not weak, timid, or spineless as often described by conniving managers. Bullying targets are often the best employees; highly skilled, ethical, honest, and well-liked.

Leverage Conflict
The following factors make global organizations vulnerable to workplace bullying; increased worker diversity, distant reporting relationships due to employee geographic dispersion, lack of experienced managers in new markets, and lack of managers with requisite, global, skills.
"The better able team members are to engage, speak, listen, hear, interpret, and respond constructively, the more likely their teams are to leverage conflict rather than be leveled by it." Runde and Flanagan

Overcoming II
Male trauma survivors may fear being discounted when disclosing childhood abuse and loss.
We often keep it bottled up inside, feeling blame, guilt, shame, confusion, and rage at what happened to us. We may try to cope in destructive ways.
With licensed professionals, survivors can confront and share trauma to start the healing process and recover.
Healthy Counselors, Coaches, Teachers, and Teammates helped me #OVERCOME a rough childhood.
You can too. It’s not your fault. You’re not alone. Healing is possible. It’s never too late to heal.

Build Self Esteem
Strong leaders establish anti-bullying policies to create healthy workplaces. They offer earnest and expeditious responses to employee maltreatment. They address & correct demeaning behaviors. Toxic companies allow abuse to fester, and excuse bullying as a joke, and not illegal.
Consequence

They represented the "greatest generation" by staying positive and compassionate while transcending two great wars, the great depression, and losing my grandfather's eldest brother, Julius, to the 1918 Spanish Influenza.

Core Values Create Culture
"We believe it’s most important to develop core values you can commit to, so you’re willing to hire and fire based on them. If you do this, then you’re well on your way to building a company culture that is in line with the brand you want to build." — Tony Hsieh

When workers do not have concrete goals, roles, or processes, and, to control, bullying bosses create moving targets, to hold workers accountable for subjective and unrealistic results, tension, conflict and scapegoating run high and trust is lost.
