Controlling bullies will attempt block transfers to a safe and better job. They find sick pleasure in making targets so miserable they quit.  Bullies will also attempt to impair a target’s health until the target must quit to alleviate their great stress. "Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual." - Thomas Jefferson #leadersarentbullies #healthyworkplaces #leaderselevatethoughtandconduct #stepup #DignityAtWorkAct

"Wise (people) speak because they have something to say; Fools because they have to say something." - Unknown "We have two ears and one mouth so that we can listen twice as much as we speak." - Epictetus #leadersarentbullies #healthyworkplaces #leaderselevatethoughtandconduct #stepup #DignityAtWorkAct

"Choose to focus your time, energy and conversation around people who inspire you, support you and help you to grow you into your happiest, strongest, wisest self." - Karen Salmansohn #leadersarentbullies #stepup #healthyworkplaces #leaderselevatethoughtandconduct #DignityAtWorkAct Bullied workers often admit to doing the bare minimum. “I do just enough to not get fired, and nothing else.  It's my way of getting back.” says one bullied worker.

"Few love to hear the sins they love to act." ― William Shakespeare "I hope you have not been leading a double life, pretending to be wicked and being good all the time. That would be hypocrisy." ― Oscar Wilde #leadersarentbullies #healthyworkplaces #leaderselevatethoughtandconduct #stepup #DignityAtWorkAct

It’s about twice as likely as getting struck by lightning; about a 1 in 7,500 chance during your lifetime.  Your chance of knowing someone who knows someone whose shower door exploded is slim to none.  Now, you do!  Last night, one of my shower doors exploded!  Bizarre!  It took 3 hour to remove 100+ lbs. of glass pebbles. It's happens enough to be written about: https://www.thespruce.com/glass-shower-door-shattered-by-itself-3972517 Be safe!

“Motivation comes from working on things we care about. It also comes from working with people we care about.” —Sheryl Sandberg “If the motivation is gone, then I am finished.” —Marit Bjorgen #leadersarentbullies #stepup #healthyworkplaces #leaderselevatethoughtandconduct Bullied workers are ambivalent about doing a good job because their efforts “don't matter.” These workers learn they will be abused regardless of how hard they try.  When workers sense they have no control over their performance results, they lose motivation.  #DignityAtWorkAct

"Empathy, humanity and support for each other is more important than revenue, than growth." - Eric Yuan "Empathy begins with understanding life from another person's perspective. Nobody has an objective experience of reality. It's all through our own individual prisms." - Sterling K.
